- 2–3 thin slices of baguette (day-old works best)
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
- ¼ cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix)
- 1–2 tablespoons toppings (pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, etc.)
- A pinch of Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Lightly coat a microwave-safe mug with butter or cooking spray.
- Layer a few baguette pieces at the bottom.
- Add 1 spoon of pizza sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese.
- Add desired toppings.
- Repeat layers until mug is ¾ full.
- Top with more cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Microwave on high for 1½ to 2½ minutes until cheese is bubbly and bread is softened.
- Let sit for 1 minute before serving.
Notes
Use slightly stale bread for best texture. Customize toppings to taste. For crispier results, bake in a toaster oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
