Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Use a 12 oz microwave-safe mug.
  2. Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in the mug.
  3. Stir in milk, oil (or butter), and egg until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  4. Microwave on high (1000W) for 60 seconds.
  5. Check with a toothpick; if batter remains, microwave in 10-second increments until set.
  6. Let rest in the microwave for 1 minute before serving.
