- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2–3 teaspoons sweetener (sugar, maple syrup, or monk fruit)
- 2 tablespoons milk (dairy or plant-based)
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: pinch of salt
- Optional: dash of cinnamon
- Optional: chocolate chips or chopped nuts
Instructions
- Mash 2 tablespoons of ripe avocado with a fork in your mug until smooth.
- Add sweetener, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the batter is smooth and thick.
- Optional: add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a swirl of peanut butter.
- Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds. Center should look set but soft. Let cool for 1 minute before serving.
Notes
Use a wide, microwave-safe mug to prevent overflow. For best texture, start with 60 seconds and add more time as needed in 10-second intervals. Overripe avocado blends better. For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and sweetener.
