Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons mashed avocado (ripe or overripe)
  • 3 tablespoons flour (all-purpose or almond)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 23 teaspoons sweetener (sugar, maple syrup, or monk fruit)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: pinch of salt
  • Optional: dash of cinnamon
  • Optional: chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mash 2 tablespoons of ripe avocado with a fork in your mug until smooth.
  2. Add sweetener, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the batter is smooth and thick.
  4. Optional: add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a swirl of peanut butter.
  5. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds. Center should look set but soft. Let cool for 1 minute before serving.

Notes

Use a wide, microwave-safe mug to prevent overflow. For best texture, start with 60 seconds and add more time as needed in 10-second intervals. Overripe avocado blends better. For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and sweetener.
